I know it's unusual to release a new version in just two days after the last one but hey, who cares. So here it is, OperaTor 2.0 with much smoother look and feel.

The most important change made in this version is that closing OperaTor automatically closes Privoxy and Tor as well. No extra buttons and no flickering windows. Introduced in this version is also a new way of wiping out the data left by Opera (sessions, history, etc.). Make sure to read the tips included in the OperaTor.

The new version of OperaTor is a step forward towards full automation. OperaTor starts with the Tor window being hidden and the Privoxy window minimized. Also, it is now possible to close all three applications (Opera, Tor and Privoxy) at once using the Terminate button located at the address bar.

OperaTor is a software bundle that can be easily installed on a portable memory (pendrive, usb stick, hard drive) to allow anonymous surfing while at an internet cafe, library etc.

With OperaTor no data will be stored at the computer you plugged your portable memory into.

The download is 6.4 MB and Windows only. You can verify its authenticity with the GPG signature and public key.

After the download is finished copy OperaTor folder to your portable memory. Launch the OperaTor.exe file to start 3 preconfigured applications: Tor, Privoxy and Opera.

Important information

If you want to be sure about your anonymity do not enable Java and do not use integrated Bittorrent client. These connections will not be torrified as neither Java nor Bittorrent use Opera's proxy settings.

MakeOperaTor - DIY package

With MakeOperaTor (less than 500KB) it is possible to easily build a custom version of OperaTor. Download Opera, Tor and Privoxy (compressed archives preferably) and extract or copy their files directly into the appriopriate MakeOperaTor subfolders. Run MakeOperaTor executable and that's it.

Note that MakeOperaTor does not include the Look 'n' shout skin which is a part of the full OperaTor package.
